Philip Horowitz, Ph.D. - Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Horowitz is a Clinical Psychologist and Administrator with 30 years of administrative experience in the design and delivery of behavioral health services. Dr. Horowitz is a board member of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers and a member of the American Academy of Addiction Treatment Administrators. Prior to joining Sunrise House, Dr. Horowitz was the Director of Inpatient and Emergency Behavioral Health Services at Saint Clare’s Hospital. He is a licensed Psychologist in New York and New Jersey and Diplomat & Fellow, American Board of Medical Psychotherapy. Dr. Horowitz has authored numerous publications in the fields of health administration, psychology and chemical dependency.

George M. Dominguez, JD - Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Dominguez has been a member of the Sunrise House team since August 1986. Mr. Dominguez is responsible for the administrative operations at Sunrise House. Mr. Dominguez’s previous experience includes: Twelve years as an attorney in the State of New Jersey, Magistrate in the Boroughs of Butler, New Jersey and Bloomingdale, New Jersey, 1977 to 1979 and Member of the Juvenile Conference Committee 1978 & 1979.

Dr. William C. Rainer, MD - Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Rainer joined the Sunrise House Medical Staff in 1995 following a 32 year career in private practice. He began practicing medicine in 1956 after earning his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Dr. Rainer is one of 200 physicians in the state of New Jersey who have earned the specialty certification from The American Society of Addiction Medicine, (ASAM), which is affiliated with the American Medical Association.

Dr. Todd Wilding, MD - Assistant Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Wilding is a Licensed Medical Doctor and is certified by the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) as an Addictionologist. He has been a member of the Sunrise House Team since December 1999. His prior experience included, General Practice/Emergency Medicine, New York University Student Health Service; Emergency Medicine, Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY; Asst. Medical director, Affiliated Physicians of St. Vincent, P.C., NY.

Kieran Ayre, LCSW, ACSW, C-CATODSW, LCADC, CCS - Chief Clinical Officer

Mr. Ayre is a licensed clinical social worker with 17 years of clinical experience working with children, teens, adults and families. He is a member of the National Academy of Certified Social Workers. He is board certified in New Jersey as an alcohol and drug counselor and is a certified school social worker. He is on the adjunct faculty at Rutgers University Graduate School of Social Services and lectures throughout the state on issue related to adolescent mental health and substance abuse.

Warrie Howell, CEP - Chief Development Officer

Ms. Howell is a Certified Event Planner and member of the National Society of Fund Raising Executives and the International Society of Meeting Planners. She has been actively involved in fundraising for over 10 years serving on various non-profit committees for the Dope Open, Saint Clare’s Hospital Community Health Trust, Patriots Path Council-Boy Scouts of America, Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey and Operation Medication Awareness. She has been a member of the Sunrise House Team since August 2004. Before coming to Sunrise House, Ms. Howell was the executive director of Leadership Morris and the director of communications, programs and events for the Morris County Chamber of Commerce in Morristown, NJ.

Beth Anne Nathans - MS, LCADC, CSW - Director of Women's Programs.

Ms. Nathans has been a member of the Sunrise House team since October 1983. Prior to joining Sunrise House she was the Program Director at Sleepy Valley Center in Warwick, New York from 1979-1983. Ms. Nathans has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Washington State University. She has her alcohol and drug counselor certification in New York and New Jersey and his a licensed LCADC IN New Jersey. She is a certified social worker in New Jersey

Evelyn Rossi-Gabin, LCADC,CSW, CDS, CCS- Director of Family & Community Liaison Services

Ms. Gabin is the Director of Family & Community Liaison Services at Sunrise House.  She is board certified in New Jersey as an alcohol and drug counselor she is also certified as a social worker and a chemical dependency specialist.  A member of the Sunrise House Team since 1984, Ms. Gabin has held several positions at Sunrise House including Family Program Coordinator and Clinical Coordinator

Marla Carey, RN,Chief Nursing Officer

Ms. Carey holds a BSN from St. Peter's College. Prior to joining the Sunrise House team in 2003, Ms. Carey ’s experience included: Research Assistant for the Department of Bioengineering-The Hospital for Joint Disease Orthopedic Institute, NY Registered Nurse –American Care Home Health Agency, Newburgh , NY Charge Nurse-The Cornwall Hospital , Cornwall , NY Registered Nurse-United States Department of Justice, Otisville , NY Registered Nurse- Horton Medical Center , Middletown , NY

Estela Rowe - Director of Patient Services

Ms. Rowe has been involved in financial services for over twenty years. Prior associations include Greenway Center in Henryville, PA and Colonial Hospital in Newport News, VA. She has been a Sunrise House team member since 2001.She lives in Stroudsburg PA with her family.

Patricia Aldredge, RHIT - Chief Patient Systems Officer

Ms. Aldredge is the Chief Patient Systems Officer at Sunrise House Foundation and an employee of nineteen years. She is a graduate of the Mandl School of Medical Technology and a Registered Health Information Technician in the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Her twenty- seven years as a health information professional also earned board certification in quality assurance and utilization review by the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians (ABQAURP).
